Woz Talks about iPhone, iPhone Hacks & Apple's Cat and Mouse Game with Hackers

The iPhone Dev team had published a photo of of Apple co-founder, Steve Wozniak with a pwned iPhone in September. It had come as no surprise to hear that he advocated iPhone hacking as he had also hacked Emmy award winning actress, Kathy Griffin's iPhone on TV back in June.
In a must-watch video interview with Spencer Kelly of BBC's Click Online show he talks about iPhone, iPhone hacks and hackers cat and mouse game with Apple.
When Spencer Kelly asked Woz:
“What do you make of the iPhone hacks where you can unlock your iPhone and start downloading apps that don’t come from the AppStore…. connect it [the iPhone] to a different network? The hackers are out there and they want to get inside this thing and want to break it down”
Woz replied:
“I love it, I love it”
A tribute to the dev team who have been tirelessly working to release the latest tools to jailbreak and unlock the iPhone and the iPhone hacking community developing the unofficial iPhone apps. They recently released PwnageTool 2.2, QuickPwn 2.2 for Mac & QuickPwn 2.2 for Windows for iPhone Firmware 2.2 within a day of its release.
Woz also pointed out that he uses the popular unofficial iPhone app Cycorder that records video (at 15 fps) and he wants more of such apps.
He clarifies that he agrees with Steve Jobs on the point of iPhone security:
“The iPhone is not necessarily a raw computer platform. It also includes a cellular phone and it attaches to a cell network and you need to have certain level of security to protect the network, to protect the relationship with the carriers so the iPhone has taken some very reasonable steps to avoid somebody figuring how to step over a very bad line that would hurt us.
I also side with the hackers.”
And believes that the major motivation for the iPhone hackers is the cat and mouse game that Steve Jobs had referred to during one of the Keynote addresses and believes its healthy. He explains:
“I don’t think the hackers would do it if it were not a Cat and Mouse game”
[The hackers] are not doing it to make money, they are not doing it to hurt people.
The Cat and Mouse game is good.”
